(Access Hollywood) — Lady Gaga is feeling especially thankful this Thanksgiving. The “ARTPOP” superstar took to Twitter to express her gratitude to her legions of loyal little monsters on Thursday.

“Happy Thanksgiving little turkey+tofurkey monsters, I love you with [all I] am, [all] my heart and thought all day about how grateful I am to be a performer in this life, writing you songs and singing to you year after year!” she wrote, adding the hashtag “#thankful4monsters.”

The “Do What U Want” singer, 27, said she was overcome with emotion when thinking about how lucky she feels to have a career doing what she loves, thanks to her fans.

“I was getting ready for a TV [appearance] today and I just burst into tears,” she wrote. “All my beautiful costumes, the amazing stage shows. It’s all because of you.”

No One Liked Lady Gaga’s Muppet Special

I loved the Special! The two favorite artists, on stage together, sparked magic. That is my opinion!

Lady Gaga may wear the muppets well, but she can’t hang with them.

ABC’s Lady Gaga & The Muppets Holiday Spectacular was anything but dazzling, with only 3.6 million people tuning in for the Thanksgiving special. Even the star power of Kristen Bell, Sir Elton John, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and a 1990s throwback to Ru Paul wasn’t enough to draw in viewers.

As Entertainment Weekly points out, the ARTPOP singer’s Thanksgiving special two years ago, which aired at the same time, had 5.4 million viewers. (Perhaps they were all at the early Black Friday sales?) Earlier in the evening, 5.3 million viewers tuned in for the annual showing of  “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.”

I was delighted to receive a response from the team at Lady Gaga’s. I am hoping that I am given the opportunity to help with the job at hand.
